The Network welcomes a new member: the Champer Lab

We are excited to announce that the Champer Lab has joined the Outreach Network for Gene Drive Research as its newest member. Based at the School of Life Sciences à l'Université de Pékin, the Champer Lab focuses on refining and testing different gene drive approaches and designs in organisms including the common fruit fly and mosquitoes.

Part of the laboratory’s research involves computational modeling to predict the performance of gene drives in natural populations. Modeling is also used to assess drive variants and performance models prior to conducting experiments, which are then used to further refine quantitative mechanistic models.

To learn more about the Champer Lab’s work and stay updated with their latest news, you can visit their website and follow Principal Investigator Jackson Champer on X.
