Les esp\u00e8ces exotiques envahissantes sur les \u00eeles sont particuli\u00e8rement pr\u00e9occupantes et ont \u00e9t\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de la recherche sur l\u2019impulsion g\u00e9n\u00e9tique, car les \u00eeles concentrent la biodiversit\u00e9 et les extinctions d'esp\u00e8ces. Les communaut\u00e9s, les plantes et les animaux insulaires sont fortement affect\u00e9s par les rongeurs invasifs qui ont envahi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geneticbiocontrol.org\/\">pr\u00e8s de 90 %<\/a> des \u00eeles du monde et sont l'une des principales causes d'extinction dans ces \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes.<\/p>\n<p>Actuellement, les rodenticides sont les outils principaux dont disposent les d\u00e9fenseurs de l'environnement pour \u00e9liminer les rongeurs sur les \u00eeles. Bien qu\u2019efficaces, ces op\u00e9rations sont complexes, co\u00fbteuses, et limit\u00e9es par les difficult\u00e9s d'acc\u00e8s aux zones recul\u00e9es et les impacts n\u00e9gatifs sur les esp\u00e8ces non cibl\u00e9es.
