Panellists will also discuss gene drive regulation and oversight, as well as the appropriateness of current guidelines, best practices, and gaps.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Beginning May 19th at 2:00pm Singapore time, the series opens with the session \u201cGene Drive Organisms: There is no one size fits all\u201d. Our panel speakers are Dr Alekos Simoni (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pologgb.com\/\">Polo GGB<\/a> \/ <a href=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/\">Target Malaria<\/a>), who will explain the different types of gene drive mechanisms, and Dr Owain Edwards (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.csiro.au\/en\/about\/people\/business-units\/land-and-water\">CSIRO Land &amp; Water<\/a>), who will discuss policy and regulatory tools needed to manage gene drive research and potential use. Dr Guan-Hong Wang (<a href=\"https:\/\/english.cas.cn\/\">Chinese Academy of Sciences<\/a>) will moderate the discussion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each webinar will be recorded and published on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isaaa.org\/webinars\/default.asp\">ISAAA SE<em>Asia<\/em>Center\u2019s website<\/a>.
